Transportation: Payson is served by State Highway 87, a 4-lane highway to Phoenix 75 miles to the south. State Route 260 provides access to the eastern parts of the state, and connects to Interstate 40. In addition, recently reconstructed State Route 188 provides access to Roosevelt Lake and points south.

Economic Development: Payson regional economic development is an active group of dedicated individuals to work in conjunction with Prudential Arrowhead Realty to help new companies locate to the Payson Area. We can assist any company, large or small take care of all of its relocation needs to our area.

Airport: Payson Municipal Airport operates 24 hours each day with a 75' wide by 5,500' long lighted runway, accepting aircraft up to 12,500 pounds gross weight, including all business jets.

Commercial Couriers: Payson is served by Safe Ride Services ((800) 797-7433) which provides transportation services for the disabled. All major overnight couriers serve Payson including UPS, Federal Express, and the U.S. Postal Service. The airport also has daily air courier service. Payson area private pilots will also charter passengers throughout the state. Enterprise Rent-A-Car also serves Payson.

Local Streets/Roads: Payson is served by three large supermarket chains: Safeway, Basha's and Wal-mart Supercenter. In addition, there are several pharmacies to choose from. Payson is also served by a large Ace Hardware Store, 2 lumber yards and a full variety of large and small ticket item retailers.

Water: Most areas receive domestic water from the Town of Payson water system. Private water companies serve most of the unincorporated areas. The water source is wells. Water quality is exceptionally good.

Air Quality: The entire Rim area enjoys cool, clear, crisp mountain air purified by the abundant ozone area overlaying the Rim Country.

Utilities:

Electrical service is provided by Arizona Public Service.
Telephone service is provided by Qwest.
Cellular Telephone service is provided by Verizon Wireless.
Internet Access is provided on local telephone lines by Cybertrails, and The River. High speed Internet is provided by Uneedspeed.
Underground Piped Propane is provided by meter to most areas by Energy West Arizona. All other areas are served by propane delivered to tanks by several different vendors.
Wastewater Facilities are provided to the Payson area by Northern Gila County Sanitary District.
Solid Waste Disposal is provided by a variety of competitive private haulers.
Television: Most of the Rim country is served by Cable Vision.
